Swiss Positions: 33 takes on sustainable approaches to Building - This traveling exhibition is a collection of photographs of 33 key projects from the Swiss construction sector over the past twenty years, which all have something to do with the theme of sustainable development. Swiss architecture and engineering enjoy an excellent reputation and high visibility not only on account of the quality of technical expertise and the inventiveness of their designers, but also on account of a far-reaching concern with sustainable development.

Tirana multimodal station - This exhibition is for a public promotion of the ideas that will be developed and chosen like most creative ones at the AWR competition for the Tirana multimodal station. In that sense the most suitable place for to exhibit the proposals for it to be the first step of the re-appropriation of the station. Exhibition will be open for the public during all five days of “Tirana Architecture Week” and is planned to be accompanied with the 2 additional events which will tend to encourage the citizens to come and re-appropriate the space. For the day of the opening is planned a jazz concert of an Albanian contemporary band and during the T.A.W. a public film screening of a an Albanian movie of Fejzo Muharram, “Binaret” from 1987 who speak about the importance of the railway in the citizens everyday life will be exposed.

City and Spiral Dynamics (Co-Plan) - This is about how people and environment/city interact in a dynamic pattern and how this interaction is shaping peoples` personalities and vice versa. The paper shall be submitted to the conference. We plan to cover a wall of around 5 by 3 m with the related illustrations. The illustrations, among others shall try to do a mapping of these interactions in the city. Printing shall be done, but also a monitor is needed for projecting on the wall.

Preservation of Cultural Heritage (CHwB exhibition) - Main goal of this exhibition is the awareness of the citizens about the importance of the history in a city life, how can the historical center be preserved and also how can it be integrated with the new city; what is a cultural heritage and how can we maintain alive its presence in the people’s everyday life. This exhibition will show some restoration works that some student’s of POLIS University and students from Balkans have done in Gjirokastra’s during a workshop in different monuments of culture. This will be organized in POLIS University gallery with some printed Papers hanged on (pictures, drawing projects, sketches) and one or two short videos that reflect better the work on city.

Projecting Tirana - New Ideas for the city of Tirana proposed from POLIS students in their diplomas. Polis exhibition shows different projects made by students during their diplomas work. These ideas which are very different from each other, shows how each of us use the city in a different way every day and the different ideas that everybody has to improve the city and make it more present and integrated with our everyday life. The projects are public and private architecture proposals and urban requalification. The exhibition will be maintained in Polis University building with printed Projects Papers hanged on and models exposed.

“Story of an Apartment” (Co-Plan, Housing research)  - It will be a exhibition of analyzed facts about the condominiums in Tirana, during the communist period and after 90’s, creating a clear picture for the functional change, users attitude and how are they related with the general conditions in the society in that period. 8 short documentary movies will be exhibit (one short movie, 2’-3’min, about each apartment separately with the topic “Story of an Apartment”), printed materials also will be prepared. Required materials for the workshop are 8pairs of monitors with headphones and printed materials.

[Re]appropriation of the Property Limit- In the framework of TAW on Sunday 21/2012 was organized the Exhibition “[re] appropriation of the property limit” by MSc. Ardit Lila who created the concept and lead it.The idea of this exhibition was to [re] appropriate the property limit in Tirana which is one of the problems that we meet almost in every road or private property of our city and especially in the suburbs. This was an exhibition of photos taken by students or staff during activities like walking the city. We analyzed the most critical zones where we concentrated on more and took some important photos there. The achievement of the exhibitions was to incite the participants to establish a critical opinion in the public masses and to contribute with a qualitative dialog for recognizing and renewing the qualities of the public spaces. The main goal was to stimulate the participant's imagination on how to definitely change the medieval mentality of using fortress instead of more functional, esthetic and appropriate solutions.  video
